After watching bot Hellboy films I have chosen to use predominantly
footage
from the first movie. This is because there are far more effects in the second
movie, more fantastical designs and monsters, whereas the first movie uses
fewer monsters (old classic films often concentrated on one creature). Also,
the sets in the first movie resemble those of the classical horror genre, such
as old dark stone environments and tunnels. This would make it more convincing
as a 1930’s horror. I have now made long list of notes of which scenes would work for the trailer, and will bear this in mind for when the story and script is written.
