Hellboy

I've chosen to use Hellboy as my monster. Not only is he a fantasticly designed creature, but he is also prothstetically flawless. The amont of different layers including a mucsle suit, fake skin, fake hair, colored contact lenses, fake teeth, a large stone hand, tail, and then the incredible wardrobe design combines a very highly detailed character.

"You're looking at this outragoues character. he's red. he's got horns. He's huge. he has giant teeth. And yet you don't see a mask. He's a living, breathing, emoting being right in front of your eyes." - Producer Lloyd Levin

I also feel the character of Hellboy lends itself very well to the genre of classic horror, and think that creating a trailer for the movie in the style of a 1930's horror movie would work very well. Using the story more of the opening credits sequence in Hellboy would also allow the narrative to blend and relate to that of a a classical horror story too. After all, the trailer for Frankenstein only shows the creation and destructive nature of the creature, but not how his story unfolds.
