Costume Making: Continued

STAGE 7

Here I required a heavy detailed leather jacket
and cut off the arms. I then sew the plastic 'shoulder pads' on and had the basic shape.

Previously I has to stitch a zip onto the the back of the vest, but as one had already been provided, this made t much easier to put on and off.

        STAGE 8

I then added the cape, discs, skirt piece as I had previously. I however felt that the discs had been stuck on too parallel, and so added a small thin metallic piece that I found on a trilby hat. I glued this on in spaced places to still allow easy movement, and give a better pattern and design to the torso piece.

 STAGE 9

Here I have shown both characters in costume to display how they will look in film, with the exception of hair styles (which will comply with concept art.)

In conclusion I feel that this final process has improved the Thor costume tenfold and was well worth doing. These are both costumes I am very proud of and am happy to use in my film.
