Analyising video game Machinima and the effect it has on the story - South Park: The Stick of Truth

South park has a very different approach to cinematics. I find that the cut scenes in South park: The Stick of truth are more enjoyable than the game play. The cut scenes are just like what viewers would expect to see in the television show, with gameplay while looking identical in terms of animation, lacks in enjoyment. The gameplay is dull, repetitive and very boring, for which I found myself rushing it just to get to the next cut scene. The gameplay  is like an RPG, but not in the action X-men Legends way, but simply click a button and then watch the character do the move for the next five seconds. I found this approach very dull because players don't feel like their playing as a character, more like a user that must take control of two characters during a overly long fight that you more watch than play, I find this very boring. The cut scenes however are extremely enjoyable, with all the humor and vibe of the series, but if users are a fan of South Park, I would advise to watch the cut scenes on you-tube than purchase the game.
