Expanding our anthromorphic world of Wild-Life and creating a short comic about it. I am interested in doing this as I want to write and illustrate comics about this world as a career, and feel the design work so far has the potential to be very successful. To make the stories more interesting we knew we wanted to say more and deal with more issues than the conventional comic. The story of the world already has themes similar to the slave trade, the British Empire, and even vegetarianism and the cruelty of animals in the food industry. Some of the leading characters also have personal struggles in their own lives whilst living in this world. This concerns, for example,  a depressed character, a schizophrenic character, a character whom is terminally ill, and an alcoholic. These are all subjects are things we may have to research further, but wanted to include either as we want to raise awareness of this, or feel it is portrayed poorly in comics (especially schizophrenia) and feel this will add another level of understanding to the comic, and make it not just a thing to enjoy, but something that can teach and be analysed.

To enhance my skills and knowledge on all aspects and necessary elements and produce a solid amount of work to pitch this to a company or make our own company producing this starting as a comic series.
This includes acting upon previous feedback we have from professionals on this art work so far (anatomy, perspective e.c.t),
Displaying what we know about the characters so far, perhaps this will need adding to once the world starts to take shape clearer.
Understand the world they live in and 'flesh it out' so when writing these stories, we understand where each character grew up and what influence that may have had on their character, where strongholds are in the world and what obstacles lie in their way when making a journey, what parts/countries are under who's rule, e.c.t. This will help the world feel more real.
Allow us to understand paper size, page layout, margin spacing, and other elements we don't have much experience in (but need to understand).
Having a good plan of where each (or main) characters stories are going will help us make events be planned, rather than random things happen one after another (which is often how comics are written). It will also allow us to consider how these future events and entwine with what may happen with other characters across the world. Planning seems a far better idea than 'make it up as we go along.'
Creating a short comic by the end of the project will help us understand if we have achieved what we hope to and depending upon its quality know if this business is something that could become successful, or how long it will take to further enhance or skills, and what areas we may still need to improve.
The hope to make this a transmedia subject would help the project by giving further faith in the business, (or that of potential investors /publishers), help realize its full potential, and would also give us other options, should the comic fail. For example, it could become something we pitch to a toy company such as Hasbro, and the project could extent from there (such as G.I Joe). This is looking at the project beyond college and as a business.

To attend life-drawing classes as soon as possible. Attend future comic conventions to get more feedback. Start a Facebook page, a Twitter, a Instagram, a Tumblr, and other sources that become easy to network the project, (this may need to be done when we have more work to show though).

Yes. I will be working primarily with Callum. This is because we started this project together, and both think the project will get a higher quantity of work and a better quality of such work by collaborating on this. This is not only because two people can do twice the work, but also we feel working together enhances our passion for the project and brainstorming ideas back and forth and constructively critiquing each other at every opportunity helps us improve constantly.

Yes. Callum and I will be working on this project, and will contact outside sources if and when we feel this would be beneficial. For example, currently we have a graphic design student (Robert Ramm) re-imagining our logo as we feel it could be better, and a creative consultant (Greg Shackleton, a English Literature graduate) who will give advise on character development, story arcs and making the world feel more lived in. All this information will be documented.
