Thor: Reborn

This is possibly my favorite Thor costume. It first appeared in Thor (Vol. 3) #1. It uses influence from the original Thor but also brings in this armored metallic look across his arms and legs which I think looks very alien but works well for a link to humanity. I also think it looks very godly, powerful, and still looks like a tight, bright Marvel costume that can easily exist in this universe. It's instantly recognisable and iconic, and while having the superhero look, it also looks like it can exist in a more mythical setting so no matter which realm he's in, he doesn't look like he doesn't belong.

The title 'reborn' is because in this storyline, Ragnarok had finally happened (the Apocalypse of Asgard,) and the gods died and were reborn. Loki, however was reborn as a woman into Sif's body (Thor's true love.) While I don't mind the idea of Loki as a woman, I think that any climatic fight/showdown between Thor and Loki wouldn't have as much affect and make Thor look somewhat harsh and unlikable. However, Die Hard 4.0 seemed to pull it off well but I'm not sure it would quite work for a Thor story.
