After completing the opening shot and the back-plates, the only difficult part was adding lightening. As I have used this effect in testing it wasn't as challenging as previously, but still took much time and attention to detail when animating the strike. I aslo added a lens flare and electricity on the hammer before the strike, to add an element of foreshadowing. I feel this allows the lightening strike to flow more believably.
